[It's a few days after it's happened, after Jon's gone on an inadvisable spree of terror, that he finally reaches out to the people that he expects will want to know.]
[At first Tim isn't sure what to say or how to feel. He knows people vanish without a trace, but it seemed impossible that his best man is suddenly gone. It felt like he had only just seen Martin.
Except Jon was still here. He is what matters right now more than anything.] Are you alright? Are you with Chris? [He's assuming this has only just happened.]
It's alright. I probably wouldn't start messaging everyone right away if anything happened to Sasha. You don't need to be sorry.
Do you need anything? Sasha and I could bring you over some dinner? [He hits send on the message before he can think to stop himself. Jon doesn't have to eat.]
I'm not surprised. [He'll figure out something to bring over. It feels a little odd to be doing something a person would do for someone who has passed away, but it a way, Martin has. Hopefully they might see him again one day, but they just didn't know that.] Is there anything else the two of you need? Sasha and I can come around and help out with laundry?
I told Sasha. You can come over if you'd like. Neither of us are especially good company at the moment. Duke probably needs more play than he's getting.
[Kyle's offered a weekend at the lake house, a bit of time for friends to spend together that's not work related. Sasha's not about to disappear for a weekend without talking with Tim first, especially considering that Kyle is a bit more than human.]
[She's not sure how she feels about the delay in response. Is she wrong to want to spend time with Kyle outside of work? Would it be different with someone else?]
[On one hand, she very much appreciates the fact that he's not pushing back too much on this. On the other? She has a deep gut feeling that it might not be so simple as that. She's also aware that maybe she shouldn't push, but when has she ever listened to her red flags?]
Good. I'm glad. ♥
Are you sure? I need you to be okay with this. If you're not--if this bothers you, tell me please.
~~~ It's slightly later than her usual time of getting home, no real thanks to the stupid lift guard patrol, even if they're training new stupid lift guard patrol, and the old guard should be well aware of her business in the Down and Haven.
She comes through the door, laden with her tote bag filled with a few things to work on at home for a fundraiser ball, her lunch bag, and her purse, feeling a might run down as a whole, but looking ever so thankful to be home.
The door shut behind her, she leans her back against it with a sigh. "Sorry 'm late," she calls out. "Bloody guards are training new people and the queue was awful."
--- When she gets home he doesn't even ask. He simply comes up to start taking a few bags from her. Leaning in to casually kiss her cheek. "Welcome home, love." Taking what he can for her he starts to move into the lounge. "That sounds awful. How about you sit down and I give you a foot rub?"
