[This is the second one Tim's gotten. The world he comes from a chain letter with a threat like that could actually be true. Which is why he's a bit weary of it.]

No. It was sent to me by a friend. I understand it's supposed to be a compliment of some form.

I don't think the brain injury is serious. That seems a bit ludicrous.

Where I'm from? These things can be serious. I've read statements from people who've had their lives ruined because of letters like this.

Really?

[ tbh it probably could be back in his home too, but he's never run across this kind of thing before. ]

Really. The world I come from? The supernatural is real and there is nothing good that ever comes from it. It tends to come from the most unlikely places as well. It's impossible to sometimes tell when an urban legend is true or not.

If I'm being honest? The fact that you're an angel makes me nervous sometimes. I try my best to remind myself that you're not from my world.

It's real where I'm from, too. Vampires, werewolves. Dragons.

I understand. Your reaction isn't uncommon; many people are uneasy when confronted with the divine. Even Dean didn't believe I was an angel at first.

It's more than that. I lost my wife and brother to the supernatural. So, it's not been easy to forget that not everything supernatural here is out to kill me and the people I love.

Dean lost his mother to a demon. There are a lot of dangerous creatures out there.

[ he can be one of them, on occasion. he leaves that out, though. ]

But...you're right. Not everything is out to kill.

That is true. Sometimes they're out for so much worse. Sometimes death is a mercy.
