[The whole point of the chain letter was to waste time and get him meeting new people. But if Tim is going to be so vocal about it being dangerous, and get idiots on the network scared... that could be dangerous to the teen. He's even less likely to fess up to starting this.]

It's these kind of hoaxes. Chain letters, superstitions, and ghost stories. Although it all really depends on how this started. That's why I need to know who it was. Hopefully it's just a normal LIER and then it should be fine. If it's someone tied to the city in some way? Or with strange powers? Then people may die.
