"Oh!" Tim is already excited thinking that it is just an empty journal. He could use a new one, but then he takes a closer look at it. A smile slowly blooming across his face the more he looks through the book. He outright laughs at the one of him sleeping on the couch. "Sasha, this is... well, it's great!" He beams at her with a big grin on his face before he gets up out of his seat. Having a mighty need to lean in and give her a gentle kiss. "I love it. Merry Christmas."
He sits back and takes another look through his book. "Maybe we can start writing together each night or week!"
The kiss warms her through, and while she's not the most romantic person walking the face of the earth, sometimes the little things are the best things. "I know it's not fancy or exciting, but after last year..." She shakes her head at that thought of Tim's memories being corrected. "I thought keeping our memories here would be good. They're ours, aren't they?"
Her lips purse in thought at his writing suggestion. "How about once a month? Build things up. Sometimes things get crazy, and I'm afraid I'd not get the chance to every day." She holds out her hand for his and smiles. "Maybe it's something to remind ourselves to reconnect, yeah?"
"Are you kidding? Getting a chance to relive some of our greatest moments together through your eyes?" With a smile he reaches to hold her hand in his own. Giving it a squeeze as he looks her in the eyes. "That is the most exciting things you could give me." Unable to resist he leans in to give her other cheek a kiss. "I love you, Sasha. It's a date." Once a month works for him as well if he was being more honest with himself and not being swept up in the moment.
"I know how your mind works most of the time, and it's really not so exciting as that." She smirks at him, winking as she squeezes his hand. "But I'm happy for this. Happy to have you and to share... well. Us."
Sasha stands so that she can kiss Tim sweetly. "I love you, too. I know I'm not the most exciting person you know, but I'm glad that you think so. And glad we're here."
Plopping back down on her seat, she laughs at the now-lukewarm-ish food and tea. "Sorry our breakfast chilled out while we were gifting. I can make more?"
"Warm enough for me." He gives her another kiss before he moves back towards his seat, then stops, and reaches for her piece of toast. Holding up towards her lips so that she can bite it. "What do you think? Is it warm enough for you?"
Oh, but all right. She half-stifles a bubbling up giggle and takes a bite from her offered toast, locking eyes with Tim the entire time. "Well..." There's a moment of playful consideration as she speaks between bites (as politely as she can, of course). "I suppose it's fine. Might be better with some jam."
"What flavor of jam would you like?" He asks with a waggle of an eyebrow. Unsure if she was making a sexual innuendo or not. As it was Sasha he was leaning on the side of caution and assuming she meant real jam, but he can't help but play around a little.
She snorts a laugh. Giving his arm a smack, Sasha takes her toast from his fingers. "I love you, but don't be gross." There's something decidedly different about cum on food versus swallowing. She'll not get into that now, thank you.
Taking a bite of her eggs, Sasha considers something. Nothing to do with what's been mentioned in the past ten seconds, mind, but it makes her look over Tim thoughtfully. "Are you happy? With me? Us?"
Laughing, he takes her smack with a grin. Moving back to his plate to take another mouthful of food. "I could not possibly be happier." He says before immediately coming back to give her a kiss. One that he will let linger a little before he pulls back. "Well, maybe if I had a winning lottery ticket I'd be a bit happier, but not by much."
Tim's given a sweet smile after that kiss, one that says she's incredibly happy. For all of its faults (and there are many, to be sure), Duplicity did manage to bring them back together. Maybe it's not the same as at home, and maybe it doesn't have to be, but Sasha's happy. For whatever reason, the universe saw it fit to bring them here.
Her lips purse briefly at the last bit of his answer. "Does Duplicity have a lottery?" She snorts and wrinkles her nose. "One lucky winner gets five million bottles of lube."
"That or maybe a never ending orgy. I'm not so sure I want to find out." Okay, maybe he does a little bit. "You know, after I lost Danny? I didn't think I would ever really be happy again." He smiles sincerely at Sasha. "What a fool I was, I just needed to find you first."
If it's possible for Sasha's face to look any more offended at 'never ending orgy', one would be hard pressed to find it. Sometimes--(no, most times) Tim's world of desires is so very different than hers, but that's okay. It has to be.
His sudden heartfelt shift gives Sasha pause. She takes a sip of her tea to help settle what he'd just said. Not that it's bad, not really. She just knows how much Danny meant to Tim. She blinks up at him, feeling some heat in her cheeks. "You've met a lot of people before I came here. Before I got to the Institute." Don't make it awkward, Sasha. "I'm not sure why it was me, but I'm glad. You drive me up the wall, but I am happy. You make me happy, even on bad days."
"I did. I met a lot of people." He sees no reason to deny it further. "But none of them compare even close to you. You don't drive me crazy the same way that I do to you, but I'm glad you can tolerate them. Because when I'm with you? It's like I have no bad days." What can he say? He's feeling incredibly sappy at the moment.

She lifts her mug of tea in a small toast. "To us? And all the good days we can fit together.
"Happy Christmas, Tim."
